Welcome to Year 1 2014-2015

It has been great to see the children settling in to 1SR and 1KL.

The sunshine has seen us out exploring the Year 1 outdoor area.

Maths Super Learning Day

Can you believe we did Maths all day? 

We had a brilliant time with all the challenges, the children really enjoyed the games and problem solving.

Thanks to all the mums,dads,grandmas, grandads and carers who came into school in the afternoon to join in the fun!

What a fabulous day we have all had at the zoo!

Exploring capacity

We have been learning about capacity in Maths this week.

We went into the outdoor area to explore filling containers with sand and water.

Brick subtraction!

1LM are busy building walls using Lego and Duplo, counting how many bricks they have, then taking bricks away to record a subtraction sum!
