Shopping at the sweet shop!
1LM have been busy working with money all week and now we get to spend it at the sweet shop, working out our totals and using our coins to pay the shop keeper.

Change combinations!
1LM have been busy this morning working in their 'Brain Buddy' groups finding various ways of making an amount using different coins.

Perfect Pizzas!
1LM have had a fantastic morning learning how to be pizza chefs at Pizza Express in Lytham! We created our pizzas from scratch and then learned all about the different toppings then getting to taste them all, some we liked, some we didn't!

Money, money, money!
Year 1 are learning all about money this week in numeracy and recognising each coin and it's value. We enjoyed playing 'Money Snap' to help with coin recognition and challenged ourselves to find different ways of paying the value on the price tag!
Trip to a Pizza Express
We had a fantastic time. Gavin the manager showed us how to make a pizza and we all made our own to take home.

Pancake Day in 1AH!
What a lovely time we've had today! We have followed instructions to make pancakes. They were delicious! Mrs Hilton tossed the pancakes into the air to flip them over.

Year 1 have been busy making and eating some yummy pancakes today, thinking of the important instructions and why they need to be followed in a special order.
Shape pictures!
Year 1 have been busy making shape pictures in Numeracy, learning some fun songs about the different 2D shapes and their properties.
